Feeling: Satisfied
Today is February 3rd, 2023 (Friday). My Youtube Short grew again overnight and now it’s at 860 views and I gained 3 subscribers which is crazy. It might sound like a small feat, but it’s tough to grow on Youtube, so gaining 3 subscribers off of 40 seconds of content without external marketing is crazy. It’s the most efficient method of reaching an audience. Luckily, even with the two shorts I’ve uploaded, I’ve gained excellent knowledge of maintaining audience retention. Throughout the day, I’m going to try to record multiple shorts and release them once each day and try to build up a bank of content.
Yesterday was kind of a bust at work, none of the homies came in with their mustaches so I shaved my last night before bed. I’m not salty or embarrassed but mustaches are wildly uncomfortable. They itch, food gets caught in them without you knowing, and I feel like a horrible person. It’s a mixture of all of these reasons that draws me away from body hair. I find it gross, specifically on me. I do, however, like the look of it on others. If I were ripped, I would shave my body because that’s aesthetic. I would prob let the hair grow out on my chest when it’s white and I’m tanned by living in California for 20 years. Much like David Hasselhoff From the Spongebob movie.
Currently, I’m in a cafe on campus with 3 of my friends. Apparently, they do this all the time but this is my first time going. It’s a good vibe and their conversations are funny. I can imagine one day, we’re all doing our own thing, have our own families, and I fly all of them out to my house and have their kids playing in my pool while I’m standing over a grill while wearing a Hawaiian shirt and our wives are catching up and explaining “how we met” stories. On the grill, is bratwurst that my dad made because he’s getting into smoking meats and sausage creation in his retirement and my batch of craft beers I made and canned in my garage. Y’know… life things.
I could make a movie with the crazy accurate scenes that play in my head. But for now, I’ll just have to keep dreaming until I can get the budget to direct something of scale. I would probably end up making a comedy that is also very real like The Hangover or something but I would probably do better with the character development. At the same time, I also really enjoy westerns and I think that would also be crazy to do although that requires a large budget.
